This topic should be subject to group leader discretion.
In Dungeons Always declare if there is a Enchanter in the group at the beginning of the run.
Only need if the item is an immediate upgrade or a mat/recipe specific to your profession. I suggest using the addon http://wow.curse.com/... to quickly decide if the item is an immediate upgrade. Only greed if there is no Enchanter in the group or the item is such that everyone in the group can use equally. ex. Frozen Orb.
When there is a Enchanter in the group, the Enchanter should greed and the rest should pass. At the end of the run, the Enchanter will disenchant all acquired loot and divvy out the materials. If there are not enough to go around the mats should be rolled on.
To be raid viable everyone will need these mats to get their gear enchanted, getting enchanted is very expensive. Hold on to your enchant mats till you are ready to enchant your bad ass purple gear. So, I suggest passing all BoE items to the Enchanter as well. The mats usually sell for more than the item by itself on AH anyway.
This is extra work for the Enchanter, so be patient and feel free to tip a mat or 3.
In dungeon profession nodes should be rolled on if more than one member can take it.
Exception: Group members should be allowed to need on gear for off spec gear set as long as no one else can use the item as a main spec upgrade.
In Group Quests I suggest relaxing the looting rules for the sake of time. Only need on a BoE if it's an immediate upgrade or a profession specific mat/recipe. Greed on everything else. You can make friends with an Enchanter and get your BoE's disenchanted at another time.
These guidelines aren't set in stone. Feel free to discuss alternate ideas.
